10 and a quarter Syclones. Or perhaps 9 Syclones and a pair of high mileage Typhoons.

Wow, with that pricing they’ll sell dozens!

My new thing is to tell everyone to buy Astons, and not the Ford Fusion kind

A Viper ACR Extreme and an Audi A8 or similar.

I will say that the base price of $156k is only $30k more than the price of one in 2002. Not bad for something that is probably 10x as fast and 10x as nice to drive.

A Lamborghini Gallardo.

I’m sure it’s way faster... As for driving nice I’m not so convinced. Electric torque vectoring at the front means you need super assisted numb steering so the motors don’t rip the wheel out of your hand. Also throttle and brake are fly by wire and it’s not exactly a light car. The first NSX was just a simple, lightweight, well balanced, mid engined, manual gearbox, high revving drivers car. With two trunks.

If we're talking new cars, I’d probably go for the McLaren 570, since that starts at around 185,000.

A Brabus E63 goes for that kind of money.
For the price of a new NSX, you can buy this:

And then you’ll be able to afford the first service.

If you think about it, in many ways this is an NSX tradition stretching back to the early 2000’s.
You remember! The glory days of the NSX being priced near 100k despite being slower than an E46 M3, a Viper, and a Z06 and being within the same performance ballpark as the S2000 ( R&T Sibling Rivalry ).

Yes but the market was smaller back then, if you wanted a reliable livable super-car the NSX was the only option. Now it’s in the same market as a bunch of options (R8, GT-R, i8, 570s, AMG-GT) all of which are “better”

I would argue that towards the end of the original NSX’s production run it was no longer a supercar. Even if it was, it certainly wasn’t the only option if one wanted a reliable car with a 5 second 0-60 time (back when such stats were relevant).
